課程概述

本課程為物理治療學研究所碩士班及大學部學生之選修課程之一，目的在於瞭解老人物理治療之相關議題。由於老化是人類發展之必經過程，隨著全球人口結構老化的趨勢，物理治療資源應用於老年人口的比例亦將隨之增加。因此本課程內容將包括老化理論、老化現象、物理治療對老年病患之評估及治療重點及效應、以及老人福利政策及相關資源等議題。期望學生在修畢本課程之後，能夠對老年人提供由預防到治療、復健、長期照護等不同階段之更完整的物理治療服務。 

課程目標
 修習學生在結束本課程時，應

1. 了解老年學與老年醫學之定義，明瞭常見老人病及臨床檢驗

2. 具有專業團隊之概念，以及了解物理治療師在老年醫學與長期照護領域之角色與弁?

3. 探討神經、肌肉、骨骼與心肺系統之老化現象

4. 討論適用於老年個案之物理治療評估與處置方式

5. 探討物理治療對防治神經肌肉骨骼與心肺系統老化之效用
